Jefo Logistique, through its Transbordement St-Hyacinthe division, obtains CN accreditation for 100-car unit trains
Jefo Logistique, through its Transbordement St-Hyacinthe (TSH) division, has obtained accreditation from Canadian National (CN) to receive 100-car unit trains at its facilities in the Montérégie region. This will allow new economies of scale in rail transportation for grain and protein merchants and for all farmers.
Jefo Logistique over time has become a strategic tool for procurement and distribution serving the agri-food sector, among others. Its location in the centre of the province, combined with this new accreditation, allows the company to act as a high-performance national grain centre and secure procurement and rail transportation for Québec as a whole.
“This accreditation confirms the quality of service provided to our customers for many years. We are the only private company to offer 100-car unit train receiving capacity province-wide,” affirms Jean Fontaine, President of Jefo Logistique.”
With an investment of around $3 million as of January 2018, the site’s track use capacity will increase to over 225 cars, allowing better flexibility to meet its customers’ needs.
